Not much activities today wadsoever..just pure drilling and drilling on my math..chinese and science. MYE commence on Wednesday. Gag. I reckon im turning into an introverted girl. I feel..rather aggravated. Erm..hope that he can alleviate me..or..in one sense..perhaps discern? In any case..HAPPY LABOUR DAY!!!! My dad is at work. How cool is that? Anyhow..I should share what I've learnt on Humanities. The government says: We have always welcomed, and will continue to welcome, international talent to boost our own talent pool. Besides foreigners, we would also like to attract returning Singaporeans who have gained international exposure by working overseas. Equally important, is an ongoing process of grooming our talents to take on international managerial positions. MNCs have also played an important role in helping to groom local corporate leaders. Besides, Singapore needs to augment our population with foreign manpower to meet labour demands of our industries to achieve sustainable growth. [This is for social studies]
Till today, Singapore is still preserving as much of our lush greenery as we can while Singapore transformed dramatically into a modern metropolis. Our challenge is to continue to preserve this green ambience and maintaining the Garden City reputation as Singapore continues with her economic development. It could be a row of Rain trees whose shade people enjoyed on their way to school or that Banyan tree under which people exchanged ghost stories in their school compound. Somehow, knowing that they will always be there and protected because we care enough to do so, provides us with a sense of security and a sense of rootedness to our home. That is why we have to conserve some of the scenic and significant trees and tree-lined roads in Singapore. So..the aim of all these craps is to tell u..DON"T CUT DOWN ANY MORE TREES. COS THE WEATHER IS GETTING FREAKIN HOT!! Thank you and I wish all of you a fruitful time reading my blog.
